This fall, you’ll be able to learn MMA from the legend himself. Brandão Fight Lab is a new MMA gym in Cooper City founded by professional fighter and UFC veteran Diego Brandão. The school will offer MMA training for adults, kids, and students who need an adapted approach to training.
For Diego, this is bigger than opening a gym. His mission is about changing lives through MMA and showing people what discipline, hard work, and belief can make possible. Pre-sign up is now available, with limited opening spots.

Diego has said it clearly: he believes martial arts can change a person’s life. Brandão Fight Lab is his opportunity to bring that belief to South Florida and pass on what MMA has taught him through years of training, fighting, traveling, competing, and continuing forward.
That starts with understanding that every student is different. A professional fighter needs something different from a kid. An amateur needs something different from someone walking onto the mat for the first time. Diego changes the way he teaches based on the person in front of him, their experience, and what they are trying to accomplish.
Brandão Fight Lab will bring that mentality into one school. Beginners will have room to learn without feeling embarrassed for making mistakes, while serious athletes will have access to the discipline and intensity required for competition.

Diego has spent much of his life in MMA, competing professionally, fighting in the UFC, and taking fights around the world. Now he is bringing those years of experience into Brandão Fight Lab with one goal: teach what he knows, build fighters at every level, and use MMA to change lives. Diego describes his coaching in a very direct way: it depends who he is teaching. After years of training and fighting around the world, he does not believe one approach works for everybody.
A kid is coached like a kid. A beginner gets the space to learn. An amateur is developed according to where they are now. A professional preparing to fight gets the discipline and intensity that level demands.
That is the idea behind Brandão Fight Lab. Serious MMA without unnecessary ego. Old-school Brazilian fighting experience without expecting every person who walks through the door to already be a fighter.
For Diego, MMA gave him a path in life. Now he wants to use what he learned to give other people their own.

Brandão Fight Lab is opening this fall in Cooper City. Here are answers to some of the questions new students and parents may have before pre-signing up.
Do I need MMA experience before joining Brandão Fight Lab?
No previous professional or competitive experience is required across the school. My teaching philosophy is to adjust the training to the person in front of me rather than expect every student to start at the same level. The Adult MMA program itself is structured around amateur and professional training.
When is Brandão Fight Lab opening?
Brandão Fight Lab is scheduled to open this fall in Cooper City. A specific first-class date has not yet been announced. Pre-sign up is available before opening, with limited spots available.

What MMA programs will Brandão Fight Lab offer?
The confirmed programs are Adult MMA, Kids MMA, and the MMA Adapter Program. These are the three core programs planned for the school.
Is the Adult MMA program only for professional fighters?
No. I designed the Adult MMA program to serve both amateur and professional athletes. Training can be adjusted according to the student’s current experience and goals.
Can my child train MMA at Brandão Fight Lab?
Yes. Kids MMA is one of the three confirmed programs at Brandão Fight Lab. I coach children differently from adults and professional fighters, with instruction based on the person I am teaching.
What is the MMA Adapter Program?
The MMA Adapter Program is an adaptive MMA program for kids who need training adjusted to their individual abilities. I believe in giving these students patience and an opportunity to participate rather than assuming everyone has to train the same way.
Will I be expected to keep up with experienced fighters right away?
No. I adapt my coaching to each individual student. Someone new to training should not be treated the same as an athlete preparing for professional competition.
Do I need to be in great shape before I start MMA?
You do not need to arrive looking or training like a professional fighter. I base my coaching on your current level and what you are capable of doing, then build from there.
How do I secure a spot before the school opens?
Use the pre-sign-up option to register your interest before Brandão Fight Lab opens this fall. Opening availability is limited, so I encourage you to pre-sign up early if you want to train with me.
